Navigating the App

Hoardly uses a collapsible sidebar on the left for primary navigation, and a top header bar for quick access to site-wide links and controls.

The Sidebar

The sidebar is the main way to get around. It can be collapsed to icons-only to save space — click the toggle button in the top-left corner to expand or collapse it.

When logged out

The sidebar shows an Explore section with links to:

• Home — the landing page
• Explore Hoards — browse public hoards
• About — information about Hoardly
• Privacy — privacy policy

At the bottom of the sidebar you'll find Sign In and Sign Up buttons.

When logged in

Once signed in the sidebar shows:

Section	What's there
Hoards	Your hoards, with a + button to create a new one
Friends	Friends you've added, with a link to the full friends page
Communities	Communities you belong to, with a discover link
System	Help, About, Roadmap, and legal pages

At the bottom of the sidebar, your user menu shows your avatar and username. Click it to access:

• Your profile
• Settings
• Friends
• Sign Out

The Top Header Bar

The header bar is visible on every page and contains:

• Sidebar toggle — collapse/expand the sidebar
• Nav links — Home, Hoards, Communities (quick access)
• Theme and language controls — on the right side
• Mobile menu — on smaller screens, a sheet menu replaces the sidebar

Search

Use the search functionality within specific sections (e.g. the filter bar inside a hoard) to find items. A global search is available from the Explore Hoards page.

Mobile

On mobile devices the sidebar is hidden by default. Tap the ☰ toggle in the top-left of the header to open it as a slide-in panel.
