Your Profile

Your profile is the public-facing page for your account. Depending on your privacy settings, other users can see your public hoards and basic info here.

Editing Your Profile

1. Open the user menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose View My Profile.
2. Click Edit Profile (this opens Preferences → Profile).
3. Update any of the following:
   • Bio: a short description about yourself (up to 500 characters)
   • Avatar: your profile picture
   • Banner: the cover image at the top of your profile
   • Social Links: links to your profile and other places you can be found online
4. Changes are saved from the settings page.

Social Links

Add up to 20 links (social profiles, your website, and similar) from the same Preferences → Profile screen. The platform icon is detected automatically from the URL.

Only 5 links can show on your profile header at once. Use the Display On Profile checkbox on each link to choose which ones appear there; the rest are still saved and can be swapped in later. All of your links remain visible further down your profile page regardless of this setting.

Your Username

Your username appears in your profile URL (/profile/yourname) and is shown on your hoards. It's chosen when you create your account and can't be changed from within the app; contact support@hoardly.app if you need it changed.

Your Posts

The Posts tab on your profile gathers your posts from every hoard and community onto one timeline. Visitors see only the ones their access allows. See Posts for how the timeline works.

What's visible on your profile also depends on your Profile Visibility setting (Public, Friends Only, or Private) and each hoard's own visibility.
